Why Pursue Graduate Studies at Tokushima University?

I decided to pursue my graduate studies at Tokushima University because of the freedom the research environment offers, allowing me to fully focus on the research I am passionate about. Additionally, during my undergraduate years, I had the opportunity to participate in joint research projects with overseas universities, and I wanted to continue leveraging this international research environment. Tokushima University supports research across a wide range of fields and provides access to a global network, enabling cutting-edge research. In this environment, I am eager to deepen my expertise in my field and pursue new discoveries.

Research and Career: Shaping My Future

I am engaged in the development of phosphors, which are materials that absorb light or energy at specific wavelengths and emit light in the visible spectrum. Additionally, I am researching how to control the emitted light using various structures. In the future, I aim to apply this research in the development of new optical materials within a corporate setting. My goal is to contribute to society by targeting a wide range of applications, particularly in areas such as lighting, display technology, and bioimaging.

Pursue the research you love in a free and open environment,
all within an international network of connections
