- Why Pursue Graduate Studies at Tokushima University?
I view research as one of the joys of life. During my undergraduate and master’s research, I experienced the difficulty of clarifying previously unexplained phenomena and developing technologies that someone might greatly need . Despite these challenges, the great joy and sense of accomplishment I felt when discovering something new or finding a solution were deeply rewarding. I realized that the emotions I experienced in research were similar to those I felt when immersed in a hobby, which sparked my admiration for the life of a researcher and motivated me to pursue further studies.

- Research and Career: Shaping My Future
I am conducting research using quantum technology that leverages the quantum states of molecules induced by light to enhance the sensitivity of NMR, used in fields like physics, chemistry, and drug discovery, as well as MRI, which is employed in medical settings. In the future, I aim to contribute to society as a researcher by applying the experience and knowledge I have gained throughout my research journey. I look forward to collaborating with many researchers and exploring new fields and technologies every day.

- A Message for Future Graduate Students
In graduate school, you have the freedom to challenge yourself in order to achieve something meaningful. The experience and research skills you gain will be invaluable for your future. Beyond daily research, participating in conferences and collaborating with other researchers are also enjoyable aspects of the journey. Tokushima University offers scholarships and programs that provide research funding, ensuring that you can focus on your work without financial worries. The research environment is also much improved compared to undergraduate and master’s studies, making it an even more attractive place to pursue your goals. I hope you have a fulfilling and enjoyable graduate school experience.
