- Why Pursue Graduate Studies at Tokushima University?
I have always had a strong desire to engage in fundamental research, gathering new insights by exploring uncharted topics. At Tokushima University Graduate School, I found a research lab that aligns perfectly with my interests, offering an environment where I can freely pursue my research. Additionally, the substantial financial support available to students wishing to advance to the doctoral program was a major attraction for me.

- Research and Career: Shaping My Future
I am conducting research on oxynitride photocatalyst materials. Reactions utilizing photocatalysts are often referred to as artificial photosynthesis, as they involve the direct use of light energy to convert water into hydrogen energy—a process that holds the promise of being a truly revolutionary material. If photocatalyst technology can be fully developed, it has the potential to significantly address the global energy shortage.
Regarding my future career vision, I aspire to enter the world of academia, where I can leverage the photochemistry knowledge gained during my doctoral studies to develop new photocatalyst materials aimed at making photocatalysis a practical and widespread technology.
